Filtering advice for motorcyclists, from the IAM, road safety charity
(PRWEB UK) 30 April 2012
IAMs head of riding standards and advanced biker, Peter Rodger, is advising on filtering.
Plan ahead when approaching long queues. Make a decision in advance for passing each vehicle, but be ready to change your plans if the traffic situation changes
Be prepared for vehicles to move out or change lanes, particularly approaching junctions
In bus lanes, watch for cars that want to turn left across your path
Be aware of cyclists wearing earphones they may not know youre there
Watch side roads. Drivers waiting to emerge will be looking for larger vehicles not necessarily a motorbike
When filtering give other vehicles time to notice youre there dont arrive too quickly
Wait behind stationary vehicles unless you’re sure you can get past them before they start to move. avoid sitting next to them where you can be in a blind spot.
Rodger said: One of the great things about riding a bike is that you can reduce your journey time by filtering through traffic and congestion. But be considerate to other road users, and bear in mind they may not know or expect you to be there.
For biking advice and tips, the IAM has launched a new website, bikingadvice.org.uk. As well as all our riding advice, it includes traffic updates, touring advice by country and biking events around the UK.

ICELANDIA Around Iceland By Car
The journey through the active volcanic landscape of Iceland features many breathtaking sights. Reykjavik, also known as ‘Smokey Bay’, is one of the smallest and cleanest capitals in the world and is the northernmost capital on the Planet. Many of the houses of the Old Town are protected monuments, such as its oldest building that dates back to 1751. The fishing industry plays an important role in Iceland’s economy and accounts for around 80 percent of its export trade. Whale watching is the ideal way to experience the giants of the deep, mainly mink, humpback and fin whales. The Blue Lagoon is the country’s most popular bathing location with turquoise water at a temperature of 40 C surrounded by lava and its water so full of minerals that it has a healing effect. With its many glaciers, volcanoes and rivers, Iceland is an Eldorado for those with an interest in geology. The mighty Gullfoss Waterfall hurls down into the abyss below while the Skogafoss, one of Iceland’s highest waterfalls, plunges 60 metres across the cliffs. With its numerous waterfalls, Iceland is well endowed with large natural energy reserves. Vik is located in a picturesque valley and although the winds there are extremely fierce, the village is a popular starting point for walking trips. Measuring 8300 square kilometres, the Vatnajokull Glacier is the largest in Europe. Remarkably, each of Europe’s other glaciers would fit within it. Iceland is a land of geysers, volcanoes, lava deserts, waterfalls …

Expert Peter Leeds Reveals Which Penny Stocks to Buy and Which Penny Stocks to Avoid This Spring

New York, NY (PRWEB) May 01, 2012
Many upcoming events should give investors insight into the health of the economy. Some important ones, such as the Commerce Department’s auto sales data, may demonstrate whether or not consumers have decided to buy big ticket items again. Others like the Census Bureau’s construction spending report will also add further clarity. Both will be released on May 1st.
According to Peter Leeds, expert on penny stocks to buy, investors in stocks should take clues from the data. If the numbers show more people decided to buy cars and trucks in April, it could telegraph other strong reports coming up, which would all demonstrate that the economy is on the mend.
“The economy is getting better or it’s not,” states Leeds. “I suggest to subscribers of my penny stocks newsletter to watch the data before they buy anything. Strong data may signal it’s time to buy – maybe buy a lot, maybe buy a little – depending on the numbers we see.”
“Weak data on the other hand may suggest it’s best to buy certain types of penny stocks, like defensive penny stocks such as pharmaceuticals, which aren’t tied to economic strength as directly. You may want to not buy penny stocks that are consumer discretionary on the heels of weak reports.”
Peter Leeds and his penny stocks team do not buy or sell any penny stocks they profile to subscribers of their newsletter. They also receive absolutely no compensation from the penny stocks they review or publish.
Asked what numbers are expected from the auto report, Leeds mentions that most analysts predict that in April 5.4 million cars and 5.7 million trucks will have been purchased. He goes on to suggest if the report shows that people buy more that expected, it could give many stocks a reactionary boost, penny stocks among them. On the other hand, if there is less buy activity it could be a wet blanket on penny stocks, and will affect what he suggests to subscribers to buy.”
Leeds mentions some other upcoming reports as well, including: initial jobless claims, crude oil inventories, unemployment rate reports, and hourly earnings, among others. All of these are anticipated to be released by or prior to May 4th.
“We’ll have a much better idea of where the economy stands, going into the spring. This will help guide out research into which penny stocks to buy and which penny stocks to avoid. We’re watching many penny stocks right now for subscribers, and we’ll know which ones we would like to buy in our opinion once we’ve had time to review the reports as they are released.”

This morning my dad saw a car labeled with the Google logo and mounted with various cameras and technical equipment close to his house when leaving. A few meters and seconds later he took these photos out of his car.
I wonder when this data will go online. But what strikes me most is that Google does this at all here, since I’m skeptic that they have any chance winning all those lawsuits this will provoke. There are just too many people that have problems with it for some reason. Our law isn’t very liberal when it comes to privacy concerns either.
P.S.
Unfortunately you can’t see the Google logo since it was on the driver’s side.
